A downloadable demo for Windows and Linux

This is a little interactive Godot/Redot Engine demo that was created to try and bring 3D Scratch/Turbowarp demo to actual 3D with hardware acceleration.

Why did I make this project you might ask?

Well, I've been playing that Scratch demo and I fell in love with that abandoned building. But the thing is that Scratch isn't really suited for full 3D. I take my hat off to awesome-llama, because only a true genius could make a 3D engine on Scratch. But despite that I was very dissatisfied with the performance of that engine. At high resolution on Ryzen 5 5600H I could squeeze out a maximum of 7 FPS. I was not satisfied with this result, so I decided to port this building to Godot to see how it would run on an engine that is actually 3D ready.

It looked good, but it was not interactive. This was my first time I actually programmed stuff without premade code. Sure, the first-person controller is still made by someone else on AssetLib but everything else was done by my rotting brain. This was the first time I felt the true programming euphoria. Now I finally understand how it feels like, to fix some bug and to feel like a genius.

What's next?

I have no idea. Maybe I'll post some upgrades to this project later, but for now... Let it be like this. I have little to no programming experience so the fact that I managed to make this fully static world interactive is already seems like a miracle to me.

Thank you so much for checking this project out.
